Welcome to The Treasure Box, HicklingUseful information at hand: As you enter the reception area, you will see the noticeboard on your right. You will be asked to sign the register every morning.Covid safety: Hand sanitiser, forehead thermometer, masks and wipes, plus Covid information are easily accessible to parents and carers.Personal belongings: Each child has their own cubicle to store all their bits and pieces. Wellies and waterproofs are supplied by me.Home from home. The playroom is calm, comfortable, accessible and well resourced.Wealth of resources: Children have free access to resources and activities, particularly suited and designed to meet their needs and their interests.Dining area: The adjustable height dining table enables children to be seated in a booster chair or their own wheelchair. The visual timetable supports children to understand the flow and rhythm of the day.Cosy reading pod: An ideal place to enjoy a book.Arts and crafts: An abundant supply, of a wide range of arts and crafts, are available every day.Interactive display: The light table offers an inviting opportunity to examine natural finds, from our local walks and adventures.Learning for the day: This display shows how each child is learning every day. One of their photos is placed on the flower, leaf or fruit, that best describes their achievements. Home cooked hot dinner: Specially made to meet the children’s particular needs and preferences.Nappy changing: This takes place in a quiet corner of the playroom, near to the toilet and sink. All supplies are readily available and as sustainable as practicably possible.Home time: There will be ample opportunity to have a conversation about your child’s day… It’s always positive and genuine. When it’s time to leave, you will be asked to sign the register, before collecting your child’s learning folder and coat.Love, love and more love…
