Being Active

Children need to be active in order for them to cope well in school.

Humans have evolved to seek out as much physicality and movement as possible, for their bodies and brains to develop their vast range of capabilities.

Physical activity builds

  • bones
  • body tissues
  • neurological systems
  • brain connections
  • fitness
  • agility
  • healthy apetites
  • good weight control
  • cardiovascular functioning (heart, lungs, circulation)
  • a well-oxygenated blood supply to all body tissues.

Children need all of these for them to get the most out of school.
